Woman “tattooed” with images from Pulp Art men's fantasy magazines. These images are sexually inappropriate and demeaning and show woman being tortured and beaten. Commentary on men's sexual fantasies about women.
About the artist
Faun Manne grew up in the greater south Chicagoland area and currently resides in Northern Indiana. Faun attended The Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City receiving an Associate of Applied Arts. She continued her education at The Otis Art Institute of the Parsons School of Design in Los Angeles receiving a Bachelor of Fine Arts. Faun lived and worked in Los Angeles for many years working as a Fashion Designer. Her work in the fashion field inspires her artwork. Faun relocated to the Chicagoland area in 2010 and attended The School of the Art Institute of Chicago receiving a Masters of Fine Arts in 2019. she participated in the group show at The Art Institute of Chicago and was among only a few who sold work at the school show. Faun has taken part in an abundance of group shows in the Chicagoland area. Faun took part in the Aqua Art show in Miami in December of 2019. In June of 2020 Faun had a solo show at Womenswork.Art in New York. Faun participated in The Jones Gallery show in Kansas City Missouri in September of 2020. Faun will be featured at Valencia College in Orlando Florida in January of 2021.
