About the work

“Casiope” is my point of view for the mythological queen Cassiopeia, who has been variously portrayed throughout her history as a constellation. My creation is made of 100% natural silk and acrylics. It is washable and wearable.

I have tried to depict the stars and the feeling the night sky gives you and at the same time to create a garment suitable for a queen.

The constellation is named after Cassiopeia, the queen of Aethiopia. Cassiopeia was the wife of King Cepheus of Aethiopia and mother of Princess Andromeda. Cepheus and Cassiopeia were placed next to each other among the stars, along with Andromeda.

About the artist

I never stopped painting, even in the excavations where I worked as an archaeologist. Depicting the findings was one of my tasks. On canvas, on paper on walls… painting has always been a way out for me.

I did painting lessons as well as freehand and linear drawing… In 2006 I got to know silk. It was love at first sight. I made it canvas for my paintings and then my first garment was born.

I also paint on canvas, papper and digitally. There is no end to creation.
