Bittersweet

Bittersweet is a portrait of an enslaved black boy inspired by an image on a cigar box "La Gloria Fabrica de Cigarros superiors". This image was most likely made at the end of the 19th century. Even though the past can not be changed, this perspective shows hope for the future.
