Ben Sledsens — An Apple for the Road
3. Sept. 2026 — 10. Okt. 2026

New paintings in which wonder, attentiveness and imagination take centre stage. The series grew out of an extensive group of works on paper that Sledsens made over the past years as a freer, more intuitive counterpart to his canvases — and it shows: more spontaneity, more freedom, and a deliberate embrace of the naive as a strength. Shown at the gallery in Antwerp.

Eline Vansteenkiste — Under the Shade of the Coolabah Tree
26. Sept. 2026 — 7. Nov. 2026

Vansteenkiste's second solo show builds on the imaginary Mappa Mundi of her previous exhibition, but this time the viewer is pulled inside: between the trees, into the dark forest, beneath the earth. Groups of women, solitary figures and animals wander through landscapes that continue past the edge of the canvas. The title comes from Slim Dusty's rendition of Waltzing Matilda. Shown at the gallery in Rome.
