Kányavári Bridge (Hungary)
About the work
In Jacqueline's collage, magic unfolds through a mix of bodily interventions, dream-like scenes, and architectural elements. These represent the beautiful and sometimes risky aspects of life that we all encounter. Creating these collages is therapeutic for Jacqueline, helping her process her experiences.
In this collage, individual humans are portrayed on a personal level, each immersed in their own world without much interaction, except for the child on the left who uses a megaphone to reach out. The bridge holds the potential to bridge human disconnect, symbolized by the gasoline tanks that could contain fuel for human interaction. However, in this artwork, that connection has yet to be established. The individuals appear either contemplative and at peace with themselves or self-absorbed, seemingly oblivious to their surroundings. It is up to you to determine which interpretation resonates more.
